Jacksonville young lawyers brighten holidays for children in foster care

One of our many generous community partners, the Young Lawyer’s Section (YLS) of the Jacksonville Bar Association, was in the news this week. This organization of Jacksonville attorney, 35 years old or younger or attorneys who have been in practice fewer than five years, does great things for this community, and especially through its partnership with FSS.

Every January, YLS hosts a holiday party at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens for children who were placed in foster care between Thanksgiving and Christmas. This vulnerable population is invited to spend a fun day at the zoo, visit with Santa, and they go home with gifts donated by law firms. We are so grateful for the organization’s support.

We’ve posted a link to the article from the Daily Record below and encourage you to check it out! If you or your organization is interested in becoming one of our community partners, please email community@fssnf.org or call 904-421-5800.
