FSS is the newest agency to introduce Shared Family Care, a program helping new mothers in recovery and their substance-exposed newborn find stability, emotional support and strong family role models.
Ideal candidates will have a safe and furnished home with a separate sleeping area for the parent(s) and room for a crib; be willing to have weekly visits to your home from various counselors and support personnel for supervision; be non-judgemental and respectful of cultural differences, beliefs and values; and demonstrate an understanding and ability to communicate with adults on resolving conflicts and self-discipline issues.
This is an opportunity for you and your family to change the life of a new parent and their newborn child. Won’t you open your home to a family in need? View the flyer below for details on the program, and contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 904-421-5864 for more information.
